Federation Cup is the second most prestigious club football tournament in India, after the National Football League (NFL). An annual knockout style club football tournament.
It was started by the All India Football Federation in 1977 and involves all the major NFL teams.
The 32nd Federation Cup qualifiers will commence from September 14.Eight teams will battle out for a place in the quarterfinal round and have been divided in two groups.
Barabati Stadium here is all set to host the 32nd Federation Cup football tournament after a hiatus of 23 years with defending champions East Bengal taking on Air India in the inaugural match tomorrow.
