MSCERT is the apex institute of the state to provide academic support and improve quality of Primary Education. It was established in 196 4-65 as a State Institute of Education (SIE).
It was upgraded as renamed as Maharashtra State Council of Educational Research and Training in 1984. For quality improvement of School Education, MSCERT carries the responsibility of teacher education, research and evaluation.
D Ed Course Duration : 2½ years Out of which last six months consists of internship in Govt. recognized school. Certificate of passing D.Ed. Course is given to those candidates who provide certificate of satisfactorily completion of Internship.
D.Ed. Exams are conducted twice in a year by M.S.C.E.R.T Pune.
- Main Exam : Generally in the month of October or November
- Supplementary Exam : April or May for repeater candidates
