The Punjab Police is always eager to welcome intelligent, motivated, and friendly people to its ranks. Police officers are recruited in three ranks. Each district periodically recruits officers in the rank of constable. Such recruitment is usually made once or twice a year. The number of vacancies and the schedule for examination is advertised well in advance.
The Punjab Public Service Commission conducts periodic recruitment examinations for selection of officers in the rank of Assistant Sub-Inspector.
A person must have a Bachelor of Arts (BA), Bachelor of Science (BSc) or an equivalent degree in order to be eligible for the examination.
