Sahara Pune Warriors is the Pune franchise for the Indian Premier League. The franchise is owned by the Sahara Group.
The new IPL team of the Sahara India, will be known as ‘Sahara Pune Warriors’ as the corporate house unveiled the name and logo of its franchise at a grand ceremony in Pune on Saturday.
The Pune IPL franchise was bought by Sahara for USD 370 million last month. The team will make its debut in IPL – IV and will play its home matches at the MCA Stadium, which is being built at a distance of 25 km from Pune city.

Players like Yusuf Pathan, Ravindra Jadeja, Virendra Sehwag, Zaheer Khan and Yuvraj singh could be a part of Pune IPL Team. It is assumed that Yuvraj Singh might be selected as captain for the Pune Franchise.
Foreign Players like Ross Taylor, Mike Hussey, Micheal Lumb are thought to be buy by the IPL Franchise.
